SunSense Kids is a sunscreen that provides powerful SPF50+ UVA and UVB protection but is gentle enough for use on the delicate, sensitive skin of children as young as six months. It is also water resistant for two hours and resilient enough to withstand rambunctious play activities.
The sunscreen also contains Nicotinamide, a vitamin in the vitamin B family that helps the skin maintain its natural protective barrier. This barrier plays a critical role in retaining skin moisture and repelling dirt, bacteria and other irritants that can cause discomfort, damage or blemishes.
Note that this product is not a rebranding of the discontinued product SunSense Toddler Milk; it is a completely different formula. SunSense products are never tested on animals.
Powerful & Practical Protection
Young skin is particularly delicate and sensitive, making it vulnerable to both UV exposure and harsh, irritating ingredients in sunscreens. SunSense Kids is formulated to offer SPF50+ protection---the highest available---without irritating sensitive skin. It has been tested by dermatologists and pediatricians for effectiveness and gentleness.
SunSense Kids is also a practical product. It is easy to apply and, once dry, will not easily come off even if exposed to water, sand, clothing or vigorous play. It does not leave a greasy and feels natural and comfortable on the skin.
The sunscreen comes in two sizes. The smaller, 50 ml bottle is great for carrying on-the-go, and its roll-on applicator is fun and easy for children to apply themselves. The larger, 250 ml bottle is great for large families or routine, daily use.
Sunscreen is important not just for preventing painful sunburn; it also protects vulnerable young skin from premature aging and, more significantly, potentially serious UV damage. SunSense Kids offers powerful protection in a gentle, no-nonsense formula that parents around the world have come to depend on.
Getting the Most from SunSense Kids
The sunscreen should be applied 15 to 20 minutes before exposure to the sun. Apply liberally to all exposed skin. Avoid applying to broken skin, infected skin and eyes or other mucous membranes. Reapply every two hours for best results.
Warnings & Side Effects
In clinical trials there were no adverse reactions reported from use of SunSense Kids. However, some individuals---particularly those with very sensitive skin---may develop a rash from some of its ingredients. If rash occurs, wash the sunscreen off immediately and discontinue use; if severe, seek medical attention.
Whenever using this or any skin product for the first time, particularly on young, delicate skin, it is advisable to test it on a small area of skin before applying it liberally.
No sunscreen offers 100% protection. Avoid prolonged sun exposure and be sure to reapply SunSense Kids every two hours as long as sun exposure continues. Protective clothing should also be utilized when possible, particularly for very young children.
