Difflam Sugar Free Cough Lozenges contain a cough suppressant for a dry (unproductive) cough and an anti-inflammatory agent to help relieve symptoms of a sore throat and reduce coughing. They also contain an anti-bacterial agent.
DIRECTIONS: Adults and children 12 years and over: Slowly dissolve two lozenges in the mouth, one at a time. Repeat every 3 hours as required, up to a maximum of 12 lozenges per day. Children 6 to 12 years: Slowly dissolve one lozenge in the mouth, every 3 hours as required, up to a maximum of 8 lozenges per day. Do not use this medicine in children under 6 years. For children 6 to 12 years - seek healthcare professional advice.
PRECAUTIONS: Should not be chewed. Uninterrupted treatment should not exceed 7 days unless under medical supervision. If symptoms persist see your doctor. Do not use this medicine with other medicines (including complementary medicines) used to treat common cough and cold symptoms. If taking prescription medication check with your doctor or pharmacist first before taking this product. This product contains 31g isomalt per 12 lozenges (recommended maximum daily dose). Products containing isomalt may have a laxative effect or cause diarrhoea. This medication may cause drowsiness. If affected do not drive a vehicle or operate machinery. Avoid Alcohol.
INGREDIENTS: Each Lozenge Contains: Benzydamine Hydrochloride 1.50mg, Pholcodine 5.50mg, Cetylpyridinium Chloride 1.33mg. Also contains Saccharin sodium.
